Jannes Snel (1982) is consultant in the Rotterdam office. He joined in the spring of 2008 with a Master’s degree in Offshore Engineering from Delft University of Technology after spending three months at OC&C as an intern in his final year at university.

“During the internship I found out that strategy consulting really appealed to me. On top of that I had a great time with the people at OC&C. Once I decided to continue in strategy consulting rather than in my field of education, it was clear to me that I wanted to work at OC&C!” he says.

When he joined, Jannes had a plan to take the One Laptop per Child concept to two primary schools in Tanzania, and OC&C granted him a ‘sabbatical’ of six months in his very first year to realize this project (and also pitched in as one of the project’s main sponsors).

Jannes’s project experience so far is mostly in consumer goods and retail, including strategy development for an industrial bakery and an internet retailer.

In his spare time, Jannes likes to play football or hit the water for kitesurfing or wakeboarding.
